GVMedia one of the first private companies to deliver elearning training Projects on the NBN Dec 2011
GVMedia has been awarded delivery of two e-learning training programs in the first round of NBN elearning funding under the under the National Vocational Education and Training E-learning Strategy.
Partnering with the Queensland Department of Employment Economic Development & Innovation (DEEDI) and Essential Energy, GVMedia will deliver the following elearning programs:

| Beef industry Stocktake Reef e-learning package | Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation (DEEDI), Queensland | This training is a key element of the Australian Government's $200M Reef Plan commitments, particularly in catchments in North and Central Queensland where the intent is to help producers minimise nutrient and chemical inflows into the Great Barrier Reef. This workshop helps producers understand their land condition, gain Stocktake pasture monitoring skills and use a software tool to assist management decisions around grazing lands. The Stocktake4Reef delivery team does not have the capacity to deliver the face-to-face workshop to the 600 targeted producers in reef catchment areas. | GVMedia | QLD |
| Essential Energy Environmental & Sustainable Energy Management | Essential Energy | The program is currently delivered via distance learning – the proposed NBN enhanced blended learning approach will improve both training delivery and outcomes for learners. Current delivery is to 95 learners in 24 separate locations across NSW - providing limited opportunity for learner collaboration and economies of scale. We intend to pilot this program with 10 learners in the Armidale area - a Stage 1 NBN Rollout Area. The program will also be delivered for access using current broadband capacity for access by the remaining users/areas. | GVMedia | NSW |
The National Vocational Education and Training E-learning Strategy aims to:
- capitalise on the benefits of the rollout of the National Broadband Network (NBN) for VET delivery
- support workforce development in industry through innovative training solutions
- expand participation and access for individuals through targeted e-learning programs delivering foundation skills and e-literacy.
